I like Harrold, but I agree. It's a smart move to make given the Devils situation on defense.

Zidlicky is a me-first player. Totally overrated. Minnesota got better instantly without him and New Jersey will too.

I don't mind Harrold too much but the fact he played all year over guys like Larsson, Urbom, or Gelinas infuriated me. He is barely a serviceable dman in this league i just don't get it. While every devil fan has been hearing for the past few years how Urbom is an NHL defensemen but he didn't even get a look really. Gelinas suppose to have offensive potential and we had the worst PP he doesn't get a look either. All the while Larsson is treated like an infant all year long even when we go into a downward spiral.

yes Streit is on the decline, but he's better than Zid.. a lot better, and better than our kids. I'd take Streit for 10mil/2 years. .. but only if we dump one of Tallinder/Volchenkov too. .. or both.

I wish Lemaire didn't retire after his first time back. He loved Urbom and I think he would have done a great job developing him. He has the physical tools, no clue why he hasn't put it together.

except Streit is one of the better PP QBs and puck moving D in the league. So it would make us in a better spot next year.

I'd rather see Gelinas and use the money to sign a good forward... and Elias and Zubrus and 4 for Clarkson..

but Streit would give us a real puck moving dman that doesn't go to the box every game trying to play defense..

If only players were on shelves and teams could use cap space to just buy one and have him to be a complete addition to their team.
